Two day National Consultation on Capacity Building and Strengthening of Tribal Research Institutes

Abstract

Two day National Consultation on Capacity Building and Strengthening of Tribal Research Institutes program was held to do an assessment for developing and evolving a standardized training process and module for streamlining the various practices carried out by various TRIs and to prepare a roadmap for National Tribal Research Institute. The specific objectives of the workshop/consultation are to Identification of strength and weaknesses of each TRI. To assess the training and Research needs of Tribal research institutes and study the existing methods of training imparted in the TRIs. Identifications of state/region-specific issues and prepare training calendar for 2020. Identify Nodal TRI for a PAN India specific research Sharing of best practices, experiences and knowledge, identification of issues for giving training, prevent duplicity of work by different TRIs. Nodal TRI will develop parameters for grading the TRIs and identify best performing TRIs and preparation of a standardized training process and module for the TRIs by which training will be imparted to them.
