Abstract: Vanya Community Radio centre was established in the Government School Building of forest village Sesaipura, Block Karhal, District Sheopur (MP) on 31st May, 2012. It is noted by visiting the Radio Station that the programs have been broadcasted for 10 hours daily (in two shifts) since then. The programmes broadcasted during the morning shift (0630 to 11.30 Hrs) is repeated in the afternoon (16.30 to 21.30 Hrs). Wide Range of Programmes are broadcasted ranging from Education to Entertainment, Govt Schemes to Agriculture Knowledge, Health to Sanitation etc. in local dialect. The broadcast range of the centre is about 15-20 Kms covering the nearby villages. An analytical study was conducted by the Tribal Research and Development Institute of Bhopal to determine the efficacy and usefulness of Vanya Community Radio Centre at Sesaipur. The study concluded that the radio centre is being maintained properly and is following the issued SOPs. A survey was also conducted in about 07 Colonies and Villages covering about 60 respondents who agreed that these Programs are interesting and useful and how they brought changes to them benefiting socially and economically. The study gave a few recommendations related to technical issues to improve the range and the quality of the broadcast listed below- The News Programmes must be in Local Dialect only.
