Hindi - Gondi Dictionary

Abstract

Hindi Gondi dictionary plays an important role for the preservation, promotion and propagation of tribal dialect. This study includes translation of 1146 Hindi words or short sentences into Gondi dialect. The Gondi dialect is the main dialect spoken in the northern region of Bastar division. It is also used in the region by Muria - Gond youth in Reelo pats, ghotul songs and for other mutual interactions. Along with the promotion of dialect, the study was carried out as an adjunct study for the officers, researchers, tourists and the students of primary schools operating in Gondi region.
