Abstract: | Govt. of India has launched a special scheme for Surrender-cum-Rehabilitation of Militants in the North East India. The objectives of the scheme is to wean away the misguided youth and hard core militants that have strayed into the fold of militancy and now find themselves rapped into the net. The scheme also seek to ensure that the militants who have surrendered do not find it attractive to join militancy again. The State Govt. is also keen to provide all benefits available as per scheme to the misguided youths to join them in main stream development. |
