Abstract: The book entitled Rohoniya Mising Samaj Aru Bhaxa Sanskritir Gotibidhi is written in Assamese language and is a collection of articles written by Sri Ganesh Pegu, on socio-cultural life of the Mising tribe of Assam. It is a marvelously stringent documentation of the Mising material as well as non-material cultures. From detailing on Gumraag folk dance of the Misings to Mising language, the influence of Srimanta Sankardev, the great Vaisnavaite Saint from Assam on the Mising socio-cultural life to the role and position women in the Mising society, from describing Mising traditional house patterns to documenting myriad intricacies of the Mising society, the book is a prolific work, seminal, engaging and inspired.
