Abstract: The study aimed to survey the physical fitness of tribal schoolboys the influence of physical activities programme on them. The study was coducted in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. To achieve the purpose of the study nine tribal school were selected at random keeping in view the strength of students on roll. From the total population of 1388 belongs to nine Tribal schools, 800 subjects were selected randomly. Their age ranged from 13 to 15 years. Out of 800 subjects, 14 subjects were not able to complete the test due to their illness. So finally 786 subjects have participated in the Physical Fitness tests. To find out the influence of the Physical Activities Programme on selected physical fitness variables, sixty tribal schoolboys were randomly selected from the total population. The subjects were divided into two groups namely the experimental group and control group each group consists of 30 subjects. The experimental group underwent Physical Activities programmes for twelve weeks, whereas the Control group did not participate in any specific physical activities programme other than their regular activities programme as per their school curriculum. The data were collected before and after the experimental period on Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Agility, Power, Speed and Cardio-Respiratory Endurance. The obtained data from the experimental and control group were statistically analyzed with analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). All the subjects were hostlers, attended for training program 6.30 am. to 7.30 am. The subjects assured voluntary participation during the experimental treatment.
