Abstract: | The Lalungs are also popularly known as Tiwas. They are one of the major ethnic groups of Assam and are mainly concentrated in the undivided Nagaon District and in the foot hills of Karbi Anglong district of Assam. An attempt was made to study the Lalungs on a scientific basis covering their various aspects of life, culture, economy etc. in book form with a view to introducing them to the outside world. The book also contains the socio cultural fabrics of the Lalungs. |
