Application of Science and Technology for Tribal Development

Abstract

The book is a product of three day seminar organized by Tribal Research Institute, Assam on Application of Science and Technology for Tribal Development from 29th to 31st July 1987. The main objectives of the seminar was to enable the government of Assam to draw up a series of schemes for the development of the tribal people under the sector Science and Technology in the Tribal Sub Plan on the basis of recommendations arrived at three day deliberation in the seminar. Distinguished scholars belonging to various disciplines of Science, Engineering, Technology and Social sciences from different Institutions, Organisations, Universities and other allied departments actively participated in the seminar. The book consists of 18 research papers as presented in the three days seminar.
