Due to the high rate of literate and semi literate population living in far flung areas, Radio can be considered as an effective medium to bring awareness through different programs related to entertainment, current events, government schemes, better agriculture technology, health information, science, sports events etc. In line with the directives of the Central Govt, the Tribal Department of M.P. Govt. decided to extend this concept as Community Radio Stations for the Tribal Populated Areas of Madhya Pradesh to preserve and develop the Tribal culture. VANYA, a corporation under the Tribal Works Department has been assigned the task of setting up community radio stations in Tribal districts of MP. The Nalcha Block population is 1,12,617 Comprising Bheel Tribals in majority.
